Once you’re safely stopped, try starting the engine again. If you have an automatic transmission, shift into Park, if you have a manual transmission shift into Neutral. If you’re able to get the engine running again, get to a safe location off the road and call AAA(roadside assistance provider) or a tow truck in case the engine stalls again. If the engine won’t start, stay inside the vehicle, especially if you’re stuck in a traffic lane. First call 911 to get police help in moving your vehicle to safety, then call for roadside assistance, AAA, or a tow truck.

How to fix a flat tire
What should you do if your tires flat? Well just follow these ten steps and you’ll get back on the road in no time!
1. Put your car in park, turn on your hazard lights and set your parking brake. If you’re not in a flat area, block your tires with wheel wedges or other bracing material like a rock or chunk of wood to prevent rolling.
2. Retrieve your spare tire and lug wrench. These tire-changing tools are typically located in your trunk, under your car, on the rear door, or in storage cubbies on the sides of your trunk.
3. Loosen the lug nuts on the flat tire by turning the wrench counterclockwise — they’re probably on very tight, so get ready to use your full body weight or foot if needed!
4. Raise the car by placing the jack under the metal frame of your car, just behind the front tire or in front of the rear tire — depending on which one is flat.
5. Remove the lug nuts and keep them together for easy retrieval.
6. Pull off the flat tire and replace it with your spare.
7. Using your hand, put the lug nuts back on as tightly as you can, twisting them clockwise.
8. Lower the jack until the tire touches the ground.
9. Using the wrench, finish tightening the lug nuts, then lower the jack completely and remove it.
10. Finally, put your tools and flat tire back in the car and head to a service station as soon as possible to repair your flat tire.

The One Ear Open Law
Is it illegal to drive with headphones in Georgia?
Yes, it is illegal to drive with earbuds in both ears or wearing headphones over both ears. According to Georgia law, wearing headphones in both ears can block or limit your ability to hear emergency vehicle sirens or signals. However, it is permitted to wear headphones that leave one ear free to hear ambient sounds while driving.

How to Park at an Angle!
Do you know how to park at an angle? If not follow the steps below to stay as safe as possible!
Remember the following steps:
1. Find a parking spot that has at least 4 feet of space on each side. If the spot is too tight, you won’t be able to open your car doors, and it increases the risk of other car doors hitting yours.
2. When parking at an angle, drive slowly and enter the spot at an angle. Slowly edge forward until your car is correctly positioned within the white lines.
3. Align the car in the parking spot: When parking, align your car so it is straight in the parking spot. This will make it easier for you to move out later. If you align the car before moving out, the cars around you may have changed, leaving you with less space to maneuver.
4. Open the car doors carefully: When leaving your vehicle, be extra careful not to slam the doors into the cars on the sides, as it can be costly.

Man Facing DUI and Child Endangerment Charges
Alex Davis, 33, of Oregon, has been arrested by the Ogle County police on charges of child endangerment and driving under the influence of drugs. The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies were called to the 6800 block of East Weld Park Road for a welfare check at 8 p.m. last Thursday. Following a brief investigation, Davis was taken into custody at the scene. In addition to the initial charges, he was also charged with possession of cannabis (more than 30g and less than 100g). Davis has been released from the Ogle County Jail with a notice to appear in court at a later date.
This is such an awful situation that no child nor adult should have to go through. If you are on drugs driving should not even be an option. Please learn from mistakes like these, because this could have ended out terribly. The outcome of DUI’s is not always the same, they can lead in no injuries to death. How to merge lanes?
Remember these steps when changing lanes or merging:
1. Match the speed of traffic in the lane you want to merge into.
2. Ensure you have enough space (3-5 seconds is recommended).
3. Check your blind spot before merging to ensure the lane is empty.
4. Only change lanes where it’s legal to do so (indicated by a dashed white line between lanes).
5. Use your turn signal several seconds in advance of your lane change to alert other drivers.
6. Be especially attentive and eliminate driving distractions when merging or changing lanes.

What do you do at a flashing red light?
When you encounter a flashing red signal at an intersection, you must come to a complete stop, just like you would at a stop sign. After stopping, you should proceed when it’s safe, yielding to any other vehicles as required by traffic rules. You don’t need to wait for the light to turn green once you’ve stopped and checked that it’s safe to go through the intersection. Flashing red lights are used when traffic signals are not working properly or during quieter times, such as late at night.
